U.S. Navy
Will Purchase FACES for Worldwide Offices
FREMONT,
Calif. July 1, 2003
IQ Biometrix Inc. IQBM, worldwide provider of integrated
security solutions, announced today that the Naval Criminal
Investigative Services (NCIS) of the U.S. Navy has issued
a purchase request for FACES 4.0 enterprise solution to
be used as the exclusive facial composite software for 1,000
officers at 140 locations around the world.
The
software will be used to help in the identification of suspects
and investigation of crimes. A key factor in the U.S. Navy
purchase is the ability of FACES to set a single standard
for suspect composite images throughout NCIS. This standardization
will ensure easy information exchange between NCIS's offices
around the globe and at sea.
FACES
unique alphanumeric coding also ensures a secure solution
for sensitive information and allows a seamless interface
with multiple locations. FACES makes it possible to create
and send composites instantly over any telecommunications
channel, including telephone, email, radio and wireless.
